The purpose of this website is to provide a working example of the WET-BOEW-GCWeb theme created by TNG Consulting Inc. together with the Government of Canada for Moodle software . Demo courses are only available in English however multi-language courses are supported.
Disabling automatic embedding of YouTube videos
YouTube videos are automatically embedded (appears in Moodle) in Moodle when you copy and paste the URL. If you are using other video services (Vimeo etc.), you still need to copy the embed code to Moodle.
If you don't want the YouTube video to be automatically embedded, you have several options:
- Add the YouTube link to your course by using Add a resource or activity > URL.
- Turn off automatic multimedia embedding for the entire course. This can be set in your course Course administration gear > Filters > Multimedia plugins > Off.
- If you don't want to affect the entire course, you can turn off the Multimedia filter for a single page by editing the page, clicking on Page administration gear > Filters , and setting Multimedia plugins to Off.
